Pari Chehrehsa is an artist, textile and fashion designer, educator, researcher, and author with more than twenty-five years of experience in visual arts, fashion design, and art education. Born in Tehran, Iran, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Textile and Fashion Design before continuing her academic studies in Canada, where she completed a Bachelor of Education in Fine Arts and a Master of Environmental Design in Computational Media Design at the University of Calgary.

Pari has devoted her career to combining artistic practice, design thinking, technology, and education. Throughout her work she has explored drawing, painting, textile arts, fashion illustration, multimedia design, and curriculum development while creating educational resources that make art accessible to learners of all ages.

Since 1998, she has been actively involved in academic research, curriculum writing, and educational publishing. Her first published book, How People Used Bird Symbols in Their Art and Craft from Caveman Times to the Present Day (1999), explored the historical use of bird symbolism in the arts and crafts of the Middle East, examining how this enduring visual language evolved across civilizations and artistic traditions.

Her graduate research at the University of Calgary focused on the creative design process as a methodology for artistic production. In her master's thesis, The Seven Stages of Erfan: A Telematic Expression of Integrated Art Creation Inspired by Rumi's Mystical Poems (2011), she developed a creative framework that combines collage, storyboarding, visual research, multimedia planning, and iterative design into a unified process for organizing ideas and transforming them into completed works of art. The research demonstrates how artists can synthesize visual, written, audio, and conceptual information into a cohesive creative workflow while integrating traditional artistic practices with contemporary digital media. This design methodology continues to influence the instructional approach used throughout her educational publications.

Since 2002, Pari has taught visual arts, fashion design, and media arts in both Canada and the United States. She has taught at Cochrane High School, Alberta College of Art and Design, Nelson Mandela High School, and currently serves as an Art Teacher and Visual and Performing Arts Department Chair at Mount Diablo High School in Concord, California. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes observation, craftsmanship, creativity, confidence, and the development of strong artistic foundations through structured, step-by-step learning.

Through the SKETCH Studies series and the Fashion Design Studio series, Pari shares practical, classroom-tested resources that help students progressively build technical skills while encouraging personal creativity and artistic exploration.

About This Publication

This publication was researched, written, illustrated, designed, and published by the author using a professional digital publishing workflow.

The layouts were created using Adobe InDesign, image editing and artwork refinement were completed in Adobe Photoshop, and technical drawings, diagrams, and vector graphics were produced with Adobe Illustrator. Throughout the production process, the author also utilized Adobe AI-powered tools integrated within these applications to assist with image enhancement, layout development, and creative workflow while maintaining complete artistic direction and editorial control.

The curriculum, instructional writing, lesson planning, and manuscript development were prepared using Google Docs, while visual planning, educational layouts, and presentation concepts were organized using Google Slides before final production in Adobe Creative Cloud.

Every illustration, lesson, assignment, workbook page, and publication in this series has been carefully developed, edited, and curated by the author to provide educators and students with a cohesive, visually engaging, and classroom-ready learning experience.
